Are your skin care products made in small batches?
Absolutely, it's what we are all about, small batch artisan hand-made, hand-whipped, hand-poured skin care! Each product is made in small batches, allowing us to avoid using harsh preservatives and keeping your product fresh and pure.
Why don't you use preservatives?
Our oil and butter base product are waterles; no water means no bacteria, which means no preservatives which equals better skincare.
When we label or describe something as being natural, we mean it. We feel there is no need for synthetics, silicone, parabens or plastic We are serious about every ingredient and believe every ingredient has a purpose, working with your skin and not against it.
Why does my product look/smell differently to my previous purchase?
When you first try our all-natural concentrated cream, balms and oils, you may find them a little richer than standard commercial water-based products this is because our creams and oils are natural concentrates. They do not contain water. This is what enables us to avoid using harsh preservatives and emulsifiers. Every batch is handmade using traditionally artisan methods, blended only with pure and natural ingredients from nature. Using this method and natural ingredients can sometimes result in a variation in colour, texture and scent of the finished product. This inconsistency is the result of working with nature and natural harvested raw ingredients, like the seasons, textures and colours may vary with every harvest but will not affect the quality of your product and the great benefits are always the same!
Are your products safe to use during pregnancy and/or while breastfeeding?
If you have any questions or concerns about ingredients and pregnancy, please consult with your GP or medical professional.
Are your products 100% vegan & cruelty-free?
You bet! Every ingredient is vegan friendly and there is no animal testing whatsoever. We only work with suppliers who hold the same values as us.
Do you use Palm Oil?
No.
What about Plastic?
In 2015 we took the decision to remove plastic from our range, almost all your packaging can be recycled. Unfortunately our white jar caps are not yet recyclable by UK authorities but you are able to return these and any other packaging to us and we can arrange recycling (Contact us for details)
What about the environment?
At all times the materials used are from sustainable sources. Environmental considerations are a fundamental part of Belenos Skin Botanique. We aim to embed these considerations in the way we work, the way we recycle our packaging, the technology we invest in, and our contracts with our suppliers and couriers. We source local, our printing is printed in the UK by a British Company, We use cardboard boxes which are manufactured locally by local people, even our glass is made and shipped from the UK.
Do you ship outside UK ?
Yes, and we think we offer a reasonable standard shipping rate, prices can be found on our delivery page.
Do you have a return policy?
Of course, We hope that up are delighted with your goods from us. if not, you may cancel or return the goods in its original condition for a full refund. Detail can be found at our return page.
